Krista Murphy joins the Junior Achievement of New York Board of Directors

New York, NY – January 21, 2025 – Junior Achievement of New York (JA New York) is pleased to announce the appointment of Krista Murphy, Chief Administrative Officer of Point72, to its Board of Directors. Ms. Murphy brings a wealth of expertise in global operations, finance, and strategic leadership to JA New York, as well as a deep commitment to empowering the next generation of leaders through financial literacy and career readiness programs.

As the Chief Administrative Officer at Point72, Ms. Murphy holds global responsibility for the firm’s Operations, Operational Risk, Regulatory Reporting, Internal Audit, and Strategic Implementation functions. She joined Point72 in 2008 and has held various leadership roles, including serving as Executive Officer for Point72’s Discretionary Investing business and International Chief Operating Officer, overseeing the firm’s operations in Singapore.

Ms. Murphy’s career also includes significant experience at Marakon Associates, MasterCard, and IBM, providing her with a diverse background in finance and operations. She is known for her leadership in driving business performance and fostering a culture of inclusion and growth. At Point72, she chairs the firm’s Women in Finance Network and serves as a Director on the firm’s Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, and UK boards.

In addition to her work at Point72, Ms. Murphy is deeply involved in her community. She serves as an advisor to the Kappa Mu chapter of Chi Omega at Sacred Heart University and is a trustee for the Congregational Church of New Canaan.

Ms. Murphy holds a B.S. in Accounting and a Master of Science in Management from Purdue University. Her appointment to the board reinforces JA New York’s commitment to engaging leaders from diverse sectors to help create lasting impact in the lives of students across the region.
