Junior Achievement of New York Announces New Appointments to Board of Directors Executive Committee

Junior Achievement of New York (JA New York) is pleased to announce the addition of Dave Fishman and Sean Houston to its Board of Directors' Executive Committee.

Dave Fishman has been a board member with JA of New York since 2019 and previously served as the Chair of the Board’s Resource Development Committee.  He is now transitioning into the role of Treasurer with the recent election of Gary Kozlowski as Board Chair.  With more than 25 years of financial industry experience with Goldman Sachs, Mr. Fishman will play a crucial role in JA New York's financial oversight and ensuring responsible stewardship of the organization’s resources.

Sean Houston joined JA New York’s board in 2019 and joins the Executive Committee as the new Chair of the Resource Development Committee.  The Resource Development Committee supports and works with JA’s senior team to identify and develop new partnerships and funding sources. Mr. Houston is Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer - Latin America at BlackRock.  His experience and expertise will help strengthen JA’s efforts to secure new resources to impact even more students across New York City, Long Island and the Lower Hudson Valley.

“Both Sean and Dave are committed to helping to advance JA New York's mission to foster financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship for New York area young people and bring valuable experience and expertise in their new roles on the Board’s Executive Committee,” said Betty Garger, President and CEO.  “I look forward to continuing to advance JA’s mission with them in their new roles.”
