Junior Achievement of New York Announces Appointment of Dr. Christoph Winkler to Board of Directors
New York, NY- June 22, 2026 – Junior Achievement of New York (JA New York) welcomes Dr. Christoph Winkler to its board of directors.
Dr. Christoph Winkler is the endowed professor and founding program director of the Hynes Institute for Entrepreneurship & Innovation at Iona University, where he leads an award-winning interdisciplinary entrepreneurship program dedicated to creativity, innovation, and personal growth. His work centers on building experiential learning environments that foster the development of an entrepreneurial mindset across disciplines and beyond academic boundaries.
A respected leader in entrepreneurship education, Dr. Winkler has been pushing boundaries and re-envisioning traditional academic practices in higher education. He currently serves as the executive editor of the journal Entrepreneurship Education and Pedagogy (EE&P) of the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship® (USASBE), playing a pivotal role in advancing the field of entrepreneurship education.
Dr. Winkler’s research and thought leadership have appeared in leading academic and professional publications, including Harvard Business Review. He was most recently recognized as the 2026 USASBE Entrepreneurship Educator of the Year for his distinguished leadership in entrepreneurship education. Dr. Winkler holds a Ph.D. in educational psychology from the City University of New York (CUNY) and has extensive experience in higher education leadership, innovation programming, and cross-sector collaboration. “It is a privilege to join the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement of New York,” said Dr. Christoph Winkler. “I have long admired JA’s commitment to empowering young people with the skills, confidence, and mindset to succeed.
